2. Story: “Cabdi Finds His Way” (Deep Version)

**Cabdi is in a big new city. He wants to go to the library, but he doesn’t know the way. He asks a man standing nearby. “Excuse me, where is the library?” Cabdi asks.

The man says, “Walk straight until you see the traffic light. Then, turn right. The library is opposite the hospital.”

Cabdi thanks him. He walks straight. He reaches the traffic light. When the light turns green, he crosses the road. Then, he turns right. Soon, he sees the hospital, and opposite the hospital—he sees the library!

After the library, Cabdi wants to buy something from the supermarket. He sees a police officer on the street. “Excuse me, where is the supermarket?” he asks.

The officer says, “Go out of the library, turn left, then walk straight until you see a tea shop. The supermarket is next to the tea shop.”

Cabdi follows the directions. He leaves the library, turns left, walks straight, and he sees the tea shop. Next to it, he finds a big supermarket.

Cabdi buys some food. Then, he wants to eat at a restaurant. He sees a small boy playing with friends. “Where is the restaurant?” Cabdi asks.

The boy says, “The restaurant is behind the cinema. The cinema is opposite the park.”

Cabdi walks until he finds the park. Across from the park, he sees the cinema. Behind the cinema, he finds a small nice restaurant.

Cabdi sits down, eats his food, and says, “Today I learned the directions in the city!”**

Waa iga raalli ahow, maktabaddu xaggee bay ku taallaa?” ayuu Cabdi waydiiyay.

Ninkii ayaa ku yiri: “Toos u soco ilaa aad ka aragto iftiinka isgoyska. Markaas midig u leexo. Maktabaddu waxay ka soo horjeeddaa isbitaalka.

Cabdi ayaa ku mahadceliyay. Wuxuu toos u socday. Wuxuu yimid isgoyska iftiinka leh. Markii iftiinka cagaaran uu shidmay, ayuu waddada ka tallaabay. Markaas ayuu midig u leexday. Wax yar kadib, wuxuu arkay isbitaalka, oo ka soo horjeedana—wuxuu arkay maktabadda!

Markii uu maktabadda ka baxay kadib, Cabdi wuxuu rabay inuu wax ka gato suuq weyn. Wuxuu arkay askari waddada jooga.

Waa iga raalli ahow, suuq weynka xaggee buu ku yaallaa?” ayuu waydiiyay.

Askarigii ayaa ku yiri: “Ka bax maktabadda, bidix u leexo, markaas toos u soco ilaa aad ka aragto maqaayad shaah. Suuq weynku wuxuu ku ag yaallaa maqaayadda shaaha.

Cabdi wuu raacay tilmaamaha. Wuxuu ka baxay maktabadda, bidix buu u leexday, toos buu u socday, wuxuuna arkay maqaayaddii shaaha. Agteedana wuxuu ka helay suuq weyn oo weyn.

Cabdi wuxuu ka iibsaday cunto. Markaas kadib, wuxuu rabay inuu wax ka cuno maqaaxi. Wuxuu arkay wiil yar oo carruur kale la ciyaaraya.

Maqaaxidu xaggee bay ku taallaa?” ayuu waydiiyay.

Wiilkii ayaa ku jawaabay: “Maqaaxidu waxay ku taallaa gadaasha shineemada. Shineemaduna waxay ka soo horjeeddaa beer.

Cabdi wuu socday ilaa uu ka helay beerta. Wuxuu arkay shineemada oo ka soo horjeedda beerta. Gadaasha shineemada ayuu ka helay maqaaxi yar oo qurux badan.

Cabdi wuu fariistay, cuntadiina wuu cunay, wuxuuna yidhi: “Maanta waxaan bartay jihada magaalada!”
