2. Story: “Cabdi’s Busy Day” (Deep Version)

**Cabdi wakes up early in the morning. He looks at his clock. It is seven o’clock. He washes his face, eats breakfast, and leaves the house at half past seven. Today is Monday, and he has many things to do.

First, he goes to school. His first class starts at eight o’clock. He looks at his schedule. Today he has three subjects: math, English, and science. His math class is at 8 o’clock, English class is at quarter past nine, and science class is at eleven o’clock.

In math class, the teacher asks, “What is ten plus fifteen?” Cabdi answers, “Twenty-five!” The teacher smiles. In English class, they learn about days of the week. The teacher asks, “What day is after Monday?” Cabdi says, “Tuesday!”

At noon, it’s lunch time. Cabdi eats with his friends. They talk about their favorite months. Cabdi’s favorite month is June because it is his birthday. He says, “My birthday is on the third of June.” His friend Ahmed says, “My birthday is on the twenty-first of December.”

After school, Cabdi goes to the library. He needs to study for an exam on Friday. He writes down the date: May 10th. He studies until quarter to five, then walks home.

At home, he helps his mother. They cook dinner together. At six o’clock, they eat. After dinner, he does his homework. At eight o’clock, he watches TV with his family.

At half past nine, he feels tired. He checks the calendar on the wall. Tomorrow is Tuesday, May 6th. He sets his alarm for seven o’clock again. Then he goes to bed and sleeps, ready for a new day.**

**Cabdi wuxuu soo toosaa subax hore. Wuxuu fiiriyaa saacaddiisa. Waa sagaal saac. Wuxuu dhaqaa wejigiisa, wuxuu cunaa quraac, wuxuuna ka baxaa guriga badh sagaal. Maanta waa Isniin, wuxuuna leeyahay hawlo badan.
